Question about iCloud backup.

got asked question today regarding icloud backup. have unlimited data plan, didn't have answer it, how icloud backup work? use wifi, or data? i'd imagine if uploads backups using data, used fast if person on 300mb plan.

 

it automatic backups when charging , on wifi. users can start manual backups while it's not charging if it's on wifi. won't backup on cellular @ all.
