Kodak Files New Patent Infringement Lawsuits Against Apple and HTC

kodak on brink of filing bankruptcy pursues auction of patent portfolio in order remain solvent, company today announced has filed 2 new lawsuits alleging patent infringement apple , htc.

kodak first filed patent infringement suit against apple in january 2010, targeting research in motion in same effort. apple filed countersuit few months later in effort bolster position against kodak.

new lawsuits coming kodak attempting stave off bankruptcy, company appears attempting demonstrate strength in patent portfolio hopes attract higher bids intellectual property. if company unable avoid bankruptcy, patent portfolio 1 of key assets sold off in court-ordered auction following bankruptcy filing.
