IDE ATA-133 to Serial ATA SATA Converter

anyone ever try 1 of these. have spare 500gb eide drive laying around. add g5 more storage. know there may performace hit on true sata drive.

thoughts?

been there, done that.... works enough normal everyday uses not things video or other i/o intensive work.

however, ad linked seems bit odd looking, if made 2 yr old. plus bit misleading, stating adapter turn old drives next gen high speed devices.......uh huh, yea right

imho, external case , portability comes too, few more $$........
