HELP! early 2009 iMac potential problems?

i have 2009 24" imac , apple care run out in little under 2 months. i've never had problem imac , have used apple care replace kb/mouse few times. 1 thing have noticed though screen has pretty severe screen burn in around dock area, , light text burnt in. noticed has screen hum when brightness turned down. not bad noticeable. these things should have looked @ before apple care runs out? going worse if don't it? else should weary of?
