G5 boot from disk problems

i tried searching couldn't find exact same problem. imac (g5) stopped working , gets gray apple screen , loads there forever. tried boot osx cd on power-up won't run disk either. ideas?

 

try booting in verbose mode , tell see (hold command-v turn machine on).
