Question on ipod nano 4th gen....

we have ipod nano 4th generation, , when sync itunes on computer, transfers over.

since nano 8gb, wife keeps music in itunes account. itunes account has our music 30gb.

able go down 1 itunes account, , able select music want transfer nano; can iphone.

there anyway select music want transfer?

there couple of ways this. recommended way set "nano" playlist on itunes library you're consolidating to. fill playlist songs want appear on nano. attach nano, , on music tab of nano's device entry, indicate want sync music, , select playlist playlist section. (alternately, can select 1 or more artists or genres in addition playlists.)

note: need turn "manually manage music , media" off. cause nano "forget" housed, 30 gb library has anyway, won't losing anything.

can set several playlists sync if wish, not one. can make changes playlist(s) when nano not attached, , nano update changes next time it's attached. multiple devices can sync same playlist; wife can make nano automatically have same songs iphone @ times, long both sync same library.

on 5th gen nano, have 2 main playlists: 1 has "essential" songs in it, , smaller smart playlist chooses songs rest of collection random.


"other" way keep "manually manage music , media" on , physically move each song onto nano. you're not "tied playlist", nano must attached while selecting songs transfer, , if ever need reset nano factory settings, there no record of on nano, , you'll have recreate entirely scratch.
