Early Core 2 Duo iMac/Mac Mini with Core 2 Duo upgrade, 10.7.3 safe to update?

hey gang -

wanted make sure safe upgrade 10.7.3 before bite bullet.

there possibility apple may have added "check" in lion these unsupported macs won't boot after installing new update, , computer far valuable me right (schoolwork) find out hard way.

'06 imac running 10.7.2 though technically unsupported. upgraded core 2 duo (originally 2.0 core duo) , removed platformsupport.plist file lion install.

if has upgraded 10.7.3 , removed platformsupport.plist file no ill effects, i'd hear it!

if don't want no wifi after sleeping mac don't upgrade. had downgrade due problem. not updating again9 until there fix), hassle.
