Tried to update to ios 5 and it bricked my phone? Help please.

i had unlocked iphone 3gs , using redsnow update ios5, every thing went find till end when phone suppose restore , boot never did. screen black , when connect itunes says phone in recovery mode , restore when go restore " device isn’t eligible requested build " i've tried many different things fix it. new suggest , ideas great normal or factory settings.

you can't restore os5 because apple no longer sign firmware , reason received error. restore 5.0.1 or 4.1.
