so afte week scosche snapshield p2 in white, here review.
first, not white. more of winter white / light gray. assume color choice more match cream smart cover versus white of white ipad.
exception of 30 pin slot, headphone jack, , cutout smart cover spine magnet, continuous line fit around ipad itself. helps make tight fight new ipad. tough ipad out once snap in cover. concern thin portion around volume controls; if stress cracks, happen.
called low profile because barely goes above bezel. lip isn't sharp , doesn't hurt hand while holding it. however, thick plastic adds bit of heft ipad. not thin cover, sacrifice thinness protection. feeling if dropped, case may crack ipad wouldn't sustain damage.
there grippy felt material on in addition shiny plastic. wish extended bit wider in landscape, because when holding way, grip shiny plastic part more if have small hands. there more felt surface on inside presumably ease abrasion , scratches on aluminum itself.
other thing don't when used smart cover, due thickness of plastic, doesn't lie flat against cover. nor there magnet hold back.
tldr: fit, thick, protective.
just update on cover: dropped 3 feet on ceramic floor & landed on back cover.
after recovering minor heart attack, checked on , good. no cracks in cover & new ipad still in 1 piece. opinion of cover went few notches.
