hi there. bought new 15', 2.2 ghz, mbp. have been reading wi-fi issues , have encountered myself today.
here's particular problem: when try connect "connection timeout" error , cannot connect.
have tried tricks: service order, new network location, etc.
here's have observed may explain what's happening.
live in apt. building there @ least 4 wide open networks. wide open meaning no security, no password. mbp connect flawlessly w/ these networks when try connect own, password protected, connection timeout.
solution leave network open, no password. well, ****** situation , don't it.
i'm hoping apple fixes in 10.4 , soon!
hoping post add overwhelming discussion of problem. haven't seen else mention problem being password related. maybe sort out.
thanx
