i got imac g4 today, original 2002 model. came no airport card installed popped in 1 of spares connect home network. have wpa2 encryption , imac let me select type of password, not let me connect.
here did after installed airport card:
1. turned on airport
2. clicked airport icon in menu bar
3. selected other (clicking networks name doesn't give option select wpa2)
4. selected networks name
5. chose wpa2 personal
6. entered password
7. said "the wireless network "blank" not support requested encryption method."
doing wrong? know card work on network because i've done before on older g3 ibook, not card.
clear not airport extreme card, original one.
the original b airport card can connect wep , wpa networks. connect wpa network, 10.3.9 or higher needed.
