Can you use gestures while in Finder and other Apple apps?

it's nice use gestures backward/forward while within safari while browsing internet can set gestures can go backward/forward thru finder, itunes or etc?

have swore use able can't seem locate it.

 

in finder can, can use bettertouchtool use lot more gestures application specific functions.
