ok, entered current century , got rid of our giant rear-projection hitachi , bought sony xbr55hx929 backlit led set. don;t have hooked yet, have dishnetwork playing on via hdmi cable. have couple of questions. when first turn on set, little banner @ th etop indicates "720p", assume means viewing show in 720p hd. resolution of hd determined dish sending, or there setting need adjust on new set? shows play in 720 , others in 1080(i or p)?
also, has sony xbr set mine, there easy way tell if i'm looking @ 720p, 1080p, etc? know when turn off set, on again, little banner second or tow says "720p" example, , 16:9. there way check without turung set on , off again?
dumb questions know, first experience true hd tv.
have looked i-manual (button on remote)?
