Ability to edit contacts disappeared and so has contact groups

i've noticed problem since first jailbroke phone haven't gotten around posting. not sure if it's jailbreak-related, thought might posted here. jailbroke redsn0w few days after 5.0.1 jailbreak came out. when click on individual contact, "edit" button should on top right corner of each contact has disappeared. have tried closing out app , restarting phone, neither has fixed problem.





also, when click on contacts app (or contacts through phone app) , click on "groups" on top left corner, blank screen instead of list of contact groups. since there's no groups click on, way can contacts list close out app. ideas problems may be? below phone specs.

iphone 4 (at&t)
os 5.0.1 (9a405)
firmware 04.11.08

 

it has nothing ios. jailbroke on 5, 5.01 , 5.1 , option edit contact there. groups controlled saving them. stock contact app not have group add/delete ability option view groups.

used google contacts , (because of cloud) use outlook contacts , groups work fine. create group in outlook , instantly syncs iphone. same happened when using gmail contacts.
