Sprint Tethering

i'm not sure if using tethering package sprint, found out info it:

in opinion, it's overpriced compared competitors, here discovered after brief chatting customer service...

1. it's $30 per month 5 gb of tethered data. phone data still unlimited, , have ability distinguish between 2 through way packets of data sent.

2. plan prorated, if you're going on vacation week, , you're not sure you'll have wifi access, can activate hotspot, , deactivate week later. typical billing cycle believe 30 days, 7/30 23.34% of month. you'll end paying 23.34% of $30, or $7.00 week of tethered data. must cheaper using hotel or airport wifi.

3. considering not close deploying smaller plan, such $15/month 1 gb of tethered data. if customers demand feature this, it's more deploy this. important because appears sprint left off ipad 3 3g/4glte carriers because of it's slow deployment of 4g. huge in getting revenue compared competitors.

so, use sprint tethering? know sprint speeds tend on slower side, similar speeds i'm seeing on phone now? i'm considering ipad 3, , i'd prefer wifi model , hotspot needed.
