i once wondered why have more 2010 a1286 macbook pro logic boards catastrophic failures, other board combined while. 2007/2008 a1226/a1260 machines bad gpu. not physically damaged or ruined liquid, , new, have not had time put through ringer yet.
sat here testing board after repair, , noticed fans weren't coming on properly. crap. have done wrong!! let me try new fan. still no dice, it's @ minimum rpm 100% cpu load on cores. let me double check temp sensor , cpu usage make sure doing stressing cpu. no increase in fan rpm. heatsink hot enough burn me @ point.
must've broken shoddy work. let me try confirmed working board before.
same thing. first 5 ten minutes, fan stays @ low rpm. regardless of cpu temp, or cpu usage.
blink, , try honest god new macbook pro. 2010 model, in original box. unused. right hoping error in work can fixed going , doing right. worried sick every 2010 board worked on has mistake of not allowing fan rev way on it.
same ****. new, never used machine.
unfortunately, seems every mc371 machine find, first 5-10 minutes of machine's boot, not allow fan rev up. , cpu boils. 93, 95, 100c , beyond. in hot room, on 100c, before shuts off. if leave machine on 30 minutes, cpu intensive, fan come on clockwork, first 5-15 minutes after machine's initial boot, fan stays silent , cpu burns.
i've tried @ least dozen machines @ point, exhibit same behavior. first five-ten minutes post boot, can use cpu as want , fan speed remain low. i've tried mc371 far, i'll have double check again in morning.
has else 2010 machine experienced similar issue? wonder how apple respond people since these have come out of warranty customers now. missing something, firmware update or recall has heard of me? live in bubble, working day , night.
i'd love insight owners of machine.
p.s.
if love macbook, not test confirm on it. not want kill machine on account.
thank you.
it seems 820-2850 board doing this. luckily, 820-2850 compatible 820-2915, better. unfortunately 1 have replace battery connector different.
has no 1 else run this? surprised 820-2850 isn't recalled.
