hey guys, first post here. hoping guys can me out little bit. bought macbook pro few months ago , fine except it makes noise every , i'm wondering if because working hard , use more memory. it's 2.2ghz intel core i7 4gb 13333 mhz ddr3.
i'm not sure if fan or here few instances fan or harddrive start little loud.
1. rendered 15 second clip in final cut pro.
2. can watch nbc's sunday night football online. had while , forgot left , after while heard fan or whatever.
3. on skype doing video chat , began again.
final cut pro render didn't last long noise went down after bit. closed media player football game , noise went down after bit. on skype while , noise didn't stop duration of call. few days earlier on skype , didn't fan noise @ all.
maybe normal i'm hoping more memory can fix because had pc made noise , drives me crazy. previous pc's i've had got vicious malware , viruses , make noise. 1 reason switching on avoid that. mad when @ work i've seen older macbook pro's capture, export, render video without sounding hurricane inside of or seeing co-worker older macbook pro doing after effects projects without noise well.
i'm hoping boosting memory fixes this. thoughts appreciated.
the sound heard fans, rendering in fcp x, watching video via flash , video chatting in skype cpu intensive, cpu gets hotter, fans spin faster cool mbp.
don't need more ram, unless mac pages lot, more ram not mean less cpu usage , less fan spinning.
adobe flash player cpu intensive, more power needed feed cpu, results in higher temperatures , higher fan speed(s) on mobile computers. more power used due flash, battery life of mobile computers shortened bit.
check, if adobe flash player responsible less battery time or heat, go applications / utilities / activity monitor , select show processes , sort cpu.
there variety of flash blockers 4 major browsers available.
flash blocker says, blocks flash content, via click on marked flash object, flash object can activated , used.
- safari: clicktoflash, there extension , plug-in; ctf allows download youtube , other kinds of mpeg-4 encoded video too.
- opera: has built-in flash blocker
- firefox: flashblock add-on block flash
- chrome: flashblock extension block flash
make sure have latest adobe flash player version running, can here.
