sudo command not found

hi guy, first post, , i'm kind of desesperate.
story is: borrowed mac girlfriend, because needed instaled programs , stuffs (wordlpress or that).
well, experimented issues installing programs, start find don't know what, end of story (according said me) give permissions (really don't know means).
so, day after grab mac, , not started, appears apple on screen, little wheel, restart itself, , again, , again, again,...
mac version 10.5.8 (i dont know animal represents that).
well, decided start read that, , first thing enter in single user mode and:
1) fsck thing......nothing.
2) mount volume -uw thing.....nothing.

after that, copy of disk warrior...... thought that's gonna save mac, nothing fixed, same problem. decided run disk warrior 10 times, nothing.

read there's problem permissions, thing of chmode 775, chown, try start diskutil sum, think i've tried i've read, nothing solved problem.

of error result i'm getting are: file read only, sudoers in mode xxx , should yyy, etc. try alc or ulc stuff, said me have no permissions that, etc
so, copy of several mac instalation disk (leopard, snow leopard) , try run utility disk, leopard letters gray (so can't press), , others letters activate, when press button, appears error "underlying task reported....".
so, once again read terminal, try changed permissions doing sudo, when write word sudo, appears error "command not found".
ufff, need if know problem, , if can guide me, because think i'm been doing lot of stuffs, not in right order.
other solution if knows how recover data (maybe in external hd) , make complete new instalation.

i'll waiting recommendation.
