HELP cannot download/reinstall lion from recovery

machine: mpb spring 2011, i5 2.3ghz

alright problem several fold:

1. machien started resetting time , date weird hours/year 2000 or that. know pram incidents , issues going far 2008. didnt think of it. until yesterday.
2. machine boot yesterday w/ low battery- spinning gear of death on gray apple screen. no load past apple icon. kb backlight did not light. spinning gear of death continued spin.
3. machine not boot in safe mode. restart after resetting pram. no dice, sgod. again.
4. boot recovery. use disk util, says disk cannot repaired : ( - no vital data go ahead , format hd, single pass. no repartition.

go download , reinstall lion recovery. there computer hangs on gathering information apple determine eligibility. had upgraded lion straight software update...recovery never gets past gathering info stage.

go view log. log states wrong version of mac app store.

stuck no upgrade cd, no base cd...

net connection solid.

suggestions?

 

i suggest make appointment @ apple store, appears there more hardware related errors apparent. if getting low battery , times/dates restting the system has lost backup battery , draining main down well. suggest taking pin , having them sort out. applecare pay supports.
