Feedback wanted- Virtual Tip Jar for workers' welfare

hey everybody,

i've been mulling on idea last few days regarding issue. basically, every few months there article somewhere factory conditions in china, there's bunch of brouhaha, , go our lives, apple (and other companies) sell millions of phones , tablets, life continues.

thinking of setting of 'online tip jar' people help. idea this- buy phone/tablet/game console/etc., , drop small tip in jar go towards investigating/advocating/fighting worker rights , more humane working conditions. (you can donate anytime, liked idea of tip jar.) dime, dollar, ten dollars- whatever want.

since of our stuff made in china, first thought donations go groups focused on china. perhaps choose donate towards organizations promote manufacturing in home country, or other related causes.

there groups work on these things, thought idea of tip jar easy , relatable, , relates directly stuff buy. it's non-judgemental- point not make people feel guilty buying stuff or make particular party 'bad guy', way help. because it's not apple thing- there's no way veto or protest of unless don't own computer or cell phone.

there organizations mentioned in american life episode ny times articles work improve workers' rights, know money can put use.

haven't done work on yet, other brainstorm bit on how set up. web site paypal non-profit account collect donations, along of course relevant content. , work publicize it. if set , @ end of day collect $75 gets put constructive use, have been worth time.

the biggest challenge here getting money people want give to. website , extent convincing people donate child's play in comparison.
