i have seen ton of different answers on answer need help. have apple tv 1 (hard drive). have updated hard drive 750gb , on last few weeks have been getting old itunes music on , deleting mp3 file , replacing new aiff file. file each song went 3.mb 40 or 50 mb per song. question is... have heard apple tv down converts music lower resolution when receives streaming. have computer hooked ethernet apple tv want make sure re downloading not waste. apple play files same way see on itunes ( aiff 1411kbps ). reason why i'm doing because i'm getting new speakers , want out of them music have. if apple tv 1 still storing music @ lower quality have go way then. find no point getting speakers if sound playing compressed. there way find out bit rate apple tv.
