hi
2.5 seagate tb adapter available, several sites tested it. turns out adapter worthwhile if using ssd's (due slow throughput of 2.5 drive). 3.5 has come out have not found 1 test -- there write on cnet garbled , has been cross referenced, not 1 site testing decent 3.5 inch drives. black out due excellent performance , other manufacturers exerting editorial (advertising) pressure, because seagate pushed product out , has released no product usual testers (anandtech/tomshardware/engadget etc)? else seen decent test of new adapter?
imho, tb interface best suited either raid configuration or ssd.
far single hdd goes, fastest available doesn't seem top 200mb/s... why not usb3.0 hdd. when mac support later down road, still able max out mechanical hdd @ 1/10 of tb adapter's cost.
