new iPad on-screen keyboard clicks but fails to enter text

hi all,

searched forums , couldn't find similar thread.

new ipad, , using new "new ipad." lot of text entry, in safari, in other apps well.

occasionally, touch text box, keyboard pops on screen , begin type, cursor remains in place. hear clicking sound typing, no text appears, , none of virtual keys anything.

if touch button make keyboard disappear , touch elsewhere in same text box, works.

else have problem? idea of solution might be?

can't see happen touch screen kboards have drawbacks . sounds off. click sound should represent sure press on key. have many times had concentrate on key strikes not skip anything.
it's possible yours might have glitch. applestore advise if feel it's not normal expectation.
