MS Office & Preview files....opens last viewed

hi - quick question - why when open document ms office or image using apple preview previous file opened days ago opens first? forced close 1 before can view 1 opened - weird - way stop happening?

in advance.

 

it's 1 of lion's great new features!

can turn off in sys prefs under general tab if don't it, though.

or revert snow leopard...
