Macbook Air- trackpad clicking on it's own..

yesterday, trackpad on 2011 13" macbook air started behaving erratically.

scrolling down web pages 2 fingers in particular, highlights text if left button pressed down. trying use photoshop absolute nightmare well.

thought trackpad being on sensitive, tried turning tap click off in system preferences, doesn't make difference.

should try re-installing? or hardware problem? researched bit on google , people saying problem battery , needed replaced..

 

hmmm - have same issue when use in clamshell mode...i've been meaning make post, never got around it.

in clamshell mode, randomly click, losing focus or performing unintended actions.

outside of clamshell mode, fine.
