iTunes Library missing files

hi,

i´m bit panicking since 5000 songs on itunes library aren´t being located itunes... happened had reinstall macbook pro after crashed, , network drive failed, no possibility of timemachining it. fortunately had second manual copy of data on external hard drive, here´s problem:

though did right when switching pc mac while ago itunes (did consolidate library , allowed itunes keep organized), turns have 2 folders music, on itunes media , itunes music, , music library split in both.

have copied files music media, , tried let itunes find other missing links in same folder (media), doesn´t seem work - never finds them, though they´re there, , in theory, in same config in music folder (as 1 appears organized). tried reboot library option-down, , unchecking both keep organized , copy files, nothing worked. tried have itunes looking @ music folder library, way wouldn´t find songs either.

did edit itunes library xml file, , replace itunes%20music itunes%media, in hope that´ll fix it, somehow, dreamweaver finds , replaces all, , save file, every time open xml again appear unchanged (that´s say, still itunes%20music references).

can please me? thought of having manually locate 5000 songs keeps me awake @ night...

before switched mbp pc crashed , copy of music on ipod classic. installed senuti , enabled me recover music.
