i have dual core 2011 i7 mac can read whole lot more on in my other thread.
decided whole new chapter needed new thread.
have 2 ssds in belly of machine, first thought raid0 them because of amazing speeds - after looking around , wishing run windows 7 learned raid not possible.
therefor have dedicated 1 ssd os x , other end windows.
questions:
1) partition should use windows 7 drive?
2) need change in bootcamp setup best performance?
3) can bootcamp run windows 7 professional 64bit?
4) need know before start?
had copy of parallels 6 macupdate bundle time never used, got email them other day offer couldn't no - upgrade version 7 half it's normal price!
have possibility.
question 5) special settings have make utilize windows 7 professional 64bit best possible way under parallels 7?
use bootcamp format non osx drive, follow instructions. after windows 7 x64 installed, have install bootcamp drivers should have been downloaded in osx. next tweaking.
first enable ahci. technically difficult tweak.
http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/f...ing-ahci-for-windows-on-mbp-2011-now-possible
follow instructions in thread above way through installing intel rapid storage drivers.
next, install latest amd drivers 6630m. have google latest gold master release. official release have restriction on manufacturer, not install.
last install new drivers broadcom ethernet , wireless. ethernet, go driver settings disable options "offload". disable 802.3az eee , set eee power settings maximum performance. last maximize ping times disable interrupt modulation.
double check readyboost, indexing, superfetch , defragment disabled on ssds.
