below diagram of current set up. although "works" still feel there's room improvement.

note: wireless devices connected via wireless n. apple devices wireless n 5ghz
move diskstation office next imac. both hardwired either aebs and/or router/switch. aebs recent purchase i'm finding the transfer speed not had hoped. @ times 32mbs not constant. @ times drop 10 or below.
placed aebs/ds in living room started ripping bluray collection , wanted able watch on tv without hickups... before aebs, had ds wired router (wireless g) provided isp , playback on tv choppy. ideally keep wireless n. not (tv/ps3) prefer hardwire.
suggestions/recommendations appreciated.
this may sound obvious...
...hardwire everything. if have several items located in 1 room, can run 1 ethernet cable switch plug - having home run every device fastest option. make sure switch buy gigabit, , done. aren't ever going achieve advertised n transfer rates, , video stutter/buffering indicates need increase transfer rate.
wired house , network 3 years ago... thing wireless in house laptops, , devices... 2 mac mini servers, gaming console, htpc, appletv, printer, etc, networked. can't think of last time had buffering issue.
luck...
