so getting in new caldigit external , wanted swap out 2tb hdd. know asking reliable hdd subjective , can very, curious else.
have been looking @ server grade hdd's able store data "safer" peace of mind.
guys believe worth money , if not, recommendations?

i guess it's matter of choice...apple put server grade hdd's in tc, , although have no reason doubt claim, there seem inordinate amount of failures.
personal recommendation way go say, in end paying heavy premium labelled "server or premium grade" won't guarantee long life. lot depends on usage, heat etc. have 4 drives in nas interesting mixture...one of them positively ancient samsung spinpoint...i convinced die use dumping bits , bobs on...it's still going strong, , used system drive too.
