Canon EOS 7D not importing properly into Mac iPhoto

hi all,

having odd problem iphoto of late, i'm not sure if problem lies camera or iphoto, guess iphoto.

there number of shots on canon can see view mode, , when attach camera computer, visible when iphoto asks photos import, once imported, either don't import iphoto, or if do, import black squares - nothing more.

advice or suggestions happening appreciated.

it sd card. or cf card. if erase/format cards computer instead of camera, have problems transferring photos. i've seen happen lot of cameras. doesn't matter if dslr or p&s.

when don't format card camera's software have problems.
