hi there,
i'm trying files on external hard drive, keep getting error code -50. haven't been able find on google or apple's support boards
1 suggestion repair disk permissions on disk. have 12 externals (a few seperate ones, 8 in esata enclosure - not raided).
can't repair permissions on of them except system's macintosh hd.
i'm sure i've repaired other disk permissions before? i'm little confused.
i'm on lion 10.7.3
tuck files on different external, i'm trying boy , keep should
cheers,
keebler
if recall correctly, can repair permissions on startup drive. persmissions problem external drive, mount it, select drive icon, "get info..." authenticate admin , adjust permissions there. don't forget check "apply enclosed items" box.
or check "ignore ownership on volume" box. that's external drives have archived folders.
hope helps.
