Apple Working with Suppliers on 8-Inch iPad

the wall street journal reports apple working suppliers on smaller ipad carrying display in range of 8 inches on diagonal, down 9.7-inch display in current ipad still larger 7-inch display found in kindle fire.
the report caution, however, apple continually testing new designs suppliers , decide not bring smaller ipad market.

according report, apple has played various tablet sizes in past, has far stuck single form factor 9.7-inch display, size steve jobs argued minimum meet apple's standards usability.

should wait until retina display feasable imo, avoid developers sticking legacy resolution , upscaling on ipad 3.
