XFX 6870 flashing issue

i having issue flashing. mac pro 3,1 using xfx hd6870 1gb

1. used romcreator , told use xfx 6870.rom got netkas post
2. saved new rom patchedrom.rom
3. opened zues 2.8 , selected patchedrom.rom, lion
4. clicked flash ,

i might have same card. have use windows or dos, not zeus.

my xfx tried several methods failed before finding annoying 1 possible (no mac guis ). first off, zeus didn't work. @ all. xfx rom @ netkas didn't work me either.

1. used ati winflash pc rom (though i'm sure dos-based ati flash would've worked too). os x gui produced faulty rom ati winflash hated.
2. zeus wouldn't add efi rom. had modify , run script/instructions on netkas website using this method--my "blocknum" 128, apparently.
3. zeus failed flash card, used ati winflash this.
