Restoring from another internal harddisk?

so have need restore mbp. backup on synology nas, , on restore menu can see drive, connection failed error every time try connect. instead copied the backup windows hd (separate harddisk in same computer) restore menu cannot detect it.

there way make detect? (i don't want buy 500gb external hd if possible...)

how did copy data nas windows hdd?
anyway, migration/setup assistant can't use windows formatted hdd migrate mac os x data from.
