iphone 3gs (humidity prob)

hello,

3gs exposed humidity. no direct contact water saw fog under screen. took several days clear out , home button stopped working. it's real pain now, because have power down phone , reboot every time want exit app or enter different function of iphone.

thinking itunes restore, i'm hesitant because phone jailbroken , unlocked work on tmobile. backed phone on itunes of course, thought seek out advice before may regret. can't afford lose use of phone several days.

current version 4.1 , firmware 05.13.04

want keep way phone works pretty right , i've heard changing these may slow down speed.

excuse ignorance, appreciate here. i've been searching several frustrating hours answers online , i'm getting nowhere.

thanks!

iphone 3gs humidity

hello, can relate frustration of home button not working, because happened me too. isolate problem can factory restore problem isn't software issue, i'm not expert if restoring doesn't fix issue next thing can try taking 3gs apart. there 2 pins must make contact corresponding part on motherboard of 3gs home button work, vapor might have shorted out pins long shot. if scared take apart maybe better off looking professional.

hope helped.
