Constant need to reset SMC

when battery runs low, macbook powers off. used go sleep until charged when open apps running. now, put charger mac , powers , says 'not charging'.

smc reset , fiddling around resolve issue everytime. but, it's happening 2-3 times day now...

causing this?

 

how old battery , have calibrated or ever? use coconut battery?
