Everything keeps minimizing

i absolutely cannot figure out wrong...

say, example have firefox running. want open mail, or itunes or whatever, else minimize except program opening. if makes sense?

mission control problem or else entirely? drives me crazy... have firefox , mail open @ same time, can see both on desktop , can navigate 1 other clicking rather switching in dashboard.

 

somewhere in system preferences (i think) there option show 1 window @ once. uncheck that. think it's unusual feature, i've accidentally hit it, , had issues.
