iMovie burn issues

hi all,

sorry if repeating post uploaded before, new this.

have bought first imac , want use making music , making movies.

have uploaded new movie camcorder onto imovies , have edited movie, added titles , other little cool effects movie , have finished making first movie project.

when come burn new movie onto dvd, experiencing problems.

have researched on net , other forums , tried tips , tricks etc people have mentioned nothing seems work me.

'shared' movie imovie quicktime (even tried itunes)as movie viewing platform mp4 format, have compressed movie, reason still doesn’t work.

have changed movies preferences in right region , chose other recommended changes make easier me burn. , still nothing.

noticed apple no longer issuing idvd downloaded 'burn', burn works fine not recognising mp4 @ all. when burn open , try , drag mp4 desktop drop in section in burn, reason once in burn can not select or click on it.

in documents folder right clicked on movie , selected burn, time worked. once had burned dvd, there nothing on disc, have tried on 4 different players. did somehow manage use burn in end , making normal noises burning on dvd, again nothing on disc.

don’t want pay amount toast charges , struggling finished project in imovies onto dvd+r, if can great.

 

you posted in ios section ipads, iphones , such. you'd more in hardware section apple computers.
