MacBook Pro keyboard and sleep issues

hey everyone,
little while ago noticed vertical row of keys '7ujm' trigger other keys on 08/09 unibody macbook pro. example, i'd hit number 7 , type '1234' instead. noticed refuses sleep. i'll close lid , attempt sleep backlight flicker , it'll re-awake.

i'm careful around electronics i've ruled out liquid damage. did clean install of lion , had no luck either, ruled out software. tried safari right in lion recovery sure.

sound logic board issue or related keyboard? sadly i'm out of applecare, if take genius bar @ least diagnose problem me free of charge? i'm in market new laptop anyway (waiting 15 inch air), worth investing money fix sell?

based on description of problem , you're confident there isn't liquid damage, venture either logic board issue or problem ribbon/connector of keyboard logic board.

have ever had laptop apart before?
